I’m counting down (only 10 more days!) to traveling to London for the holidays. As excited as this makes me, it also means I’ve nothing about decorating or getting into the festive mood. Ok, you might think I’m slightly crazy for still riding the smoothie train in December, but I promise you this smoothie is absolutely worth the chill. Bananas add a creamy texture, molasses and ground ginger gives it the signature gingerbread taste and Vega’s Chai protein powder adds the nutritional omph and spice that makes this smoothie downright festive.
I never use to be a huge smoothie fan, but over the summer I got absolutely hooked. I used to have greek yogurt almost every morning, but unfortunately too much dairy causes my skin to break out, so I tried replacing the yogurt with thick smoothie bowls. The rest was history. I loved that I could pack veggies, fruit and protein into one delicious meal.

- 1½ frozen bananas
- ½ cup unsweetened organic vanilla almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 scoop of Vega Chai Protein Powder
- 1 tablespoon unsulphured blackstrap molasses
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- pinch of ground nutmeg
- pinch of pumpkin pie spice
- dash of all spice
