This Weekend I Ate
So. Much. Kale.
I went grocery shopping and switched it up, which involved going to 3 different grocery stores (overkill?)
I loaded up on delicious fresh produce, including a MASSIVE [bushel?] of kale which I washed, cut, packed and ate some of, well a lot of.
Part of my kale consumption included some crispy, flakey kale chips.
Other notable weekend eats included this massive helping of PB and Plain froyo from Forty Carrots &
2 new Chobani flavors Key Lime and Coconut (talk about a tropical vacation).
This Week I Sweat
- M: 20 min full body circuit 30 min elliptical
- T: 4.5 miles on the treadmill
- W: 3.5 mile early run along Riverside Drive
- Th: 2000 meters rowing, 30 mins abs/arms, 15 stairmaster
- F: Free weights, abs, legs and 3.5 miles on the treadmill
- S: Rest day (shopping and walking)
- Su: 4.5 slow, sweaty hot miles along the Hudson
Painfully sweaty, hot sticky mess of a run on Sunday, but at least I was off the treadmill.
This Week I Wrote
It was a light week because a lot of energy was put into converting my wordpress.com hosted blog into my new site! (Thanks for visiting, by the way) – but I still managed to write my second What I Ate Wednesday!

Never had kale chip before. I assume they were good or you would not have talked about them. I used kale in a morning juice with my juicer wasn’t broken.
Yeah they’re super fun to eat because they get so crispy (or maybe I’m a little weird.) All you have to do is plop some kale on a baking try lightly dress it with a little olive oil, add salt or spices to taste and bake for 20-25 minutes on 250 F. Kale is awesome in juice because it’s on the sweeter side (for a green.) Plus it makes juice look pretty badass.
