Easy Basil Hummus Recipe

Hummus Recipe

Ingredients You’ll Need for Hummus Recipe:

  • 1 can of Chickpeas
  • Small andful of fresh Basil Leaves
  • Tablespoon of Chopped Rosemary
  • Teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • ~Tablespoon of Olive Oil

To Make Basil Hummus:

  1. Wash and rinse can of Chickpeas and empty them into Food Processor (Or Magic Bullet 4 blade)
  2. Blend adding Olive Oil as needed until smooth
  3. Add Basil Leaves, Rosemary & Garlic Salt
  4. Blend until well mixed
  5. Serve with bell peppers, carrots, snap peas, pretzel sticks or whatever your heart desires!

    It does not get any simpler that this. Growing basil and rosemary in the garden this year so two less ingredients I have to go to the store for.

    OMG…I love pesto!! It’s so summery and fresh. I would have never thought of putting it into hummus. Delicious!

      Thanks- this was a first and definitely an improvisation. Chickpeas make a great base for dips.
