Five Things Friday

July 19, 2013 by Georgie @ The Long Run

This is my first #FiveThingsFriday

I’m pumped to join this bloggin’ partay!

1.) My best friend is visiting me here in NYC this weekend.Five Things Friday

2.) I’m obsessed with my new running shorts. They have a smooth elastic which doesn’t bunch up under my shirt, which is perfect because I like to wear ’em up high. Plus they’re the perfect length, covering my butt but not half way down my thighs. bonus: they were on sale for $11

3.) Planks are now fun thanks to bobble head plank pics. Another glorious way to share sweaty selfies (which I love) Thanks Cori!

Five Things Friday

4.) Had my first ever frappucino this week because I had a reward on my Starbucks card. It was unsweetened coffee with soy and and extra shot (what a mouth full). Verdict: Delicious.

5.) New York City thrifting is a different game. I’m a total thrift-a-holic and NYC is fueling this addiction. I’ve purchased no less than 6 pairs of designer jeans in excellent condition all under $10 each.

  1. What’s your favorite coffee shop treat?
  2. Favorite brand of workout gear?
  3. Are you a thrifter? Best treasure you ever found?

    I just recently had the Caramel Crunch Frap from Starbucks and it was delish! (Not a big Starbucks person normally) I live in my Victoria Secret Yoga pants! I recently had to shut myself from buying anything else from there for 6 months. Totally addicted! Hope you have a great weekend!

      Oh my gosh yoga pants are my weakness. Looking forward to getting back to a college campus where they are practically part of the uniform! Thanks for reading Kerry have, a great weekend.

    I love this ‘5 on friday’ thing! Is it just 5 random things from this week that you share on your blog? If so, I might start doing posts like this!! 🙂

      It’s a linkup- I just started today. In the future I might pick a “theme” to my five things but these were just some random highlights this week. Definitely send me the link next Friday if you join.

    I’ve never done any thrift shopping, but I would really like to if I could do it in NYC!

      I can’t tell you how many amazing pairs of jeans I find. My favorite thing is finding cute dressed. I’ve even scored some Free People. My only fear is now I’ve been spoiled.

    I don’t have any photos but my Five Things Friday are in no particular order;
    * Painted my guest room
    *home made sushi and home made fried onion rings on the same day!
    *my big back deck is now power-washed, sanded and sealed
    *great interview
    *drinks with fave friends

      So happy your interview went well! Also now that I know you can make sushi there will be high expectations on my return Xo

    Awesome deals on those jeans! I love thrift stores too, but I don’t think I’ve ever had that good of luck. I think my favourite thrift store find ever was a panini press for $3!

    1. Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks
    2. Was Adidas but have begun to favor Nike once again, but it’s so expensive
    3. Only on occasion. I did however find a Nike Chicago Blackhawks Jeremy Roenick jersey one time for $4. Never again will I find something that good.

      LOVE chai – especially iced. Have you ever tried a dirty chai? It has a shot of espresso in it- crazy good.
      My current sneakers are the first nikes I’ve ever owned and I’m actually a big fan. I need a lot of support b/c I prefer pavement running.
      Hope you had a great weekend!

      I’m officially addicted all thanks to you! It helps pass the time (had my longest plank ever yesterday)
      I love shopping for new gear around New Year’s because there are always great “NY’s Resolution”/Post Holiday sales
      Thanks for stoppin’ by 🙂
