What I Drank Wednesday: European Latte Edition

July 24, 2013 by Georgie @ The Long Run

Ok, so I’m getting a little “creative” with my WIAW today for 2 reasons.

  1. I love looking back at photos from my semester in London and because so many of them were of lattes I thought it would be a fun post.
  2. Confession: I’m a broke college student and I’ve been living off the random things I have left in my pantry which include some sweet potatoes, nut butters, frozen brussels sprouts and some greek yogurt. So my eats weren’t pretty or diverse or interesting.

But these lattes … get ready to drool!

IMG_2006So I hope you enjoyed looking at lattes as much as I do!

One of my favorite “dates” whether it’s with old friends, someone special, family, a co-worker or a new friend is always coffee (even if they get tea). There’s something truly special about sharing a hot (or sometimes cold) caffeinated beverage in a cozy atmosphere. Some of my most memorable heart-to-hearts, creative brainstorming, lazy afternoon reading and sister bonding have occurred in coffee shops.

While I joke about it with a lot of friends, my real dream is to open a coffee shop one day. It can be more than a business but a true center of community.

I won’t hold it against you if you’re not a coffee lover – I know you just need some time.

So my question for today is: Are you a coffee lover?

Are You A Coffee Lover?

Are You A Coffee Lover?

And if so what’s your favorite coffee beverage?

I love Jamie Oliver too – that’s so awesome you went to his cafe!

I’m a coffee lover too, but I usually only drink it in the mornings with my breakfast. I switch over to tea after that!

Waking up to a good cup of coffee makes breakfast (which is already my favorite) x10 better! I’m a tea lover too! (Which was perfect for my time across the pond)

I lurv coffeh! 😀 Although I will admit it’s more of a “drink Dunkin Donuts coffee to get through the day” type of love, I’m starting to think I should branch out and become a coffee connoisseur. 🙂

Coffee lovers come in all roasts #badcoffeejokes. I’ve become kind of a snob about my brews, but it comes at a cost. If you’re looking to venture out try an iced latte! It’s basically iced coffee on crack.

I was at the London Coffee Festival!!! So good. Except for the 8 cups of caffeine that annihilated me later…. oops

No way! So much free coffee, chocolate and tea. It was pretty much what I hope heaven is like 😛 I was pretty coffee drunk for a while.

Thanks Cait- appreciate that. I might have to do a recap of my Euro-eats too because looking through old pics was too much fun!

So I am TOTALLY in your situation of #2 (love eating what’s left in my pantry) and was converted to a coffee drinker in Spain.

No way! I had my first coffee ever in Spain when I was a high school senior (didn’t believe the hype) and well the rest is history. Thanks for reading Kaitlin!
