1/2 Marathon Training

August 25, 2013 by Georgie @ The Long Run

At the beginning of August I set some goals. One of those goals was to sign up for two races…

I’m excited to start training for my very first 1/2 marathon!

It’s on November 3rd and before that I’m running a 5 miler on September 8th.

While I’ve been running consistently for the past 2+ years, I haven’t been in a lot of races but I’m excited to start a new chapter in my running story. I enjoy challenging myself and having concrete goals.

Here’s my training schedule:

Question:

  • Do you have any races/events/goals for this fall?

Congrats on signing up for your first half marathon and best of luck with your training and the race! The plan looks solid 🙂

For this fall, I am training for the Philly RnR half in Sept, my first century ride (100 mi), and my first marathon in Oct. Might run some low-key races here and there with the running club, but those three are my big events for the season!
