Desert Island Foods

February 7, 2014 by Georgie @ The Long Run

Hi there! Hope you’re surviving the week. If you live in the Northeast you probably are sharing some of my whitewashed views. First it was freezing and now the snow just wont stop. Sidenote: tried to do do my long run on Sunday outside for a change but running through snow is like running through sand. Not. Fun. At. All. I went at a snails pace, my legs were burning and I fell a mile short of my goal. WOMP. Looks like I need to find some paved routes.

So in an effort to shake things up and have a little fun I wanted to play a game with you! You’ve probably played it many a time: The Desert Island Game. This time we’re playing with foods.

What are the 5 foods you would bring with you if you were stuck on a desert island

(they don’t have to be healthy, no judging here.) These are 5 foods you never seem to get sick of. Anyone who knows me could probably guess these pretty quickly because, well let’s face it- I’m a total creature of habit.

Mine are:

1.) Coffee

2.) Almond butterDIY Nut Butter almond butterDIY Nut Butter Nut Butter2014-01-14 20.55.22DIY Nut Butter

make your own!

3.) Greek yogurt

Now here’s the fun part… it’s your turn!

I can’t wait to see what people say!

Share with your friends too to see what they’ll say.

Next time you make a meal with one of your 5 foods, post it on Instagram and tag me (@georgiemorley <you’ll get an insta-like) I’d love to see some yummy creations.

    What a fun post! I think we’d be able to survive together 🙂 My five: banana, peanut butter (like you didn’t see those two coming…), sweet potato, eggs and avocado! Nom nom nom.

    5 is tough; but if it wasn’t 5 fruits, it’d be;
    peaches, (homemade) granola, a nice sea salted dark chocolate bar, arugula, wild salmon

      Your list is definitely evidence that we’re related! I’d be game to get stuck on a desert island with ya
