I Promise I’m Not Dead

April 30, 2014 by Georgie @ The Long Run

What a great blog post title? It’s frustrating that it feels like every other post I’m saying “don’t worry I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth….yet” but I assure you as soon as life becomes less nutty I cannot wait to share some of what I’ve been cookin’ up and some fresh new workouts.

One of the big reasons I haven’t been posting is that literally my entire life is about to change. Ok, ok that’s super dramatic but not entirely false. In less than a month I’ll be graduating and moving to Princeton, NJ to work at Bai Brands makers of Bai5 (one of my favorite drinks eva). So yes, if I talk about Bai5 in the future I want it to be SUPER clear I am a paid employee but I drink the stuff all the time and I love talking about it before and after I got the job. I’ll be their community manager, running facebook, twitter, instagram and pinterest as well as helping to develop the digital strategy.

I could not be more excited to get started, especially after attending the first company wide meeting which brought together over 100 of the employees for the first time ever. I had a total blast and I have such good feelings about this summer.

photo 2 photo 3Also coming up is the half marathon I signed up for in Binghamton, NY this Sunday. Confession: I have not trained nearly as much as I would have liked, but I’m not beating myself up about it. Instead, I’ll look at is as a great long run and fun experience rather than a competitive race. Once life settles down a bit I know I’ll have more time to dedicate to training in the future, but at this point I’d rather spend time with friends who I won’t be seeing nearly as often after next month! Gulp! Same goes for my attitude about my diet. On the daily I am trying to keep things as clean and energizing as possible, but heck I’m not turning down a senior night filled with pizza and beer. In my eyes it’s all about keeping a healthy balance and perspective. My biggest goal is to make the best of my last few weeks in college and cherish every memory I make.

So that’s what’s new with me, the next few weeks are going to be madness but I can’t wait to make this summer incredible, and you’ll see a lot more exciting content right here.

Thanks for your patients and understanding <3

What an awesome job. I’ve been wanting to break into the CPG marketing world. It’s a bonus when you love the product already too and can now work to make others love it too!
