Hi there and happy Thursday. For a lot of us it’s basically Friday if you have the long holiday weekend, but if not you can just pretend it’s Friday, ‘cuz hey why the heck not!
Sorry for the absence of posts last week, but I had a very special visiter… MY MOM! Woo. This lady is a total rockstar and I’m so lucky to have someone like her in my life. Unfortunately there’s quite a bit of distance, but long weekends (like this past one) help me put a lot of memories in the mental bank.
Today I’m going to do my first “Thinking Out Loud Thursday” which is a linkup on one of my favorite blogs Running With Spoons. If you’ve never read it before, definitely take a peak, it’s good stuff!
For my first Thinking Out Loud I’ll share some snaps of life.
My mom and I made our way to Ithaca. We packed up the rest of my apartment there so I could have some actual furniture in my new place. Oh and it was lovely being back even if it was just for an overnight.
Work has been so much fun. I’ve never had a job that I’ve been this excited for. Every morning on my drive I look forward to getting to the office. This week we’ve been working on some recipe development and I’ve been able to practice my food (well drink) photography. I can’t share any details or photos quite yet but when the project launches, I’ll definitely be sharing.
Had a lovely dinner with my mom in Princeton. I haven’t been out to eat lately so it’s nice to have some dinner company. We went out in Bordentown as well where we split a fig jam pizza and burrata salad. It was the first time trying burrata and well, omfg I died (like the good kind of dying) a bit.
And lastly, on a more fitness related note I had my first session with the Bai personal trainer. It was pretty epic. We did a full body HIIT workout in sets of three (12 exercises total for about 40 minutes) I was tripping and felt like I was going to puke by the end but it was some good bonding with two other coworkers and I can’t wait to keep doing these weekly session.
Cheers and happy Thursday/Friday and have a lovely 4th of July!
What’s on YOUR mind?
- Have you tried any new workouts lately?
- Do you have a go to meal you like to order when you go out to eat?
- Do you have any plans or traditions for the 4th of July?

Adore all your photographs! All the produce is fantastic!
Thanks Kaitlin! I’m so excited it’s Farmer’s Market season again.
Loving all the pics, girl! Super creative 😀 And I swear there’s nothing better than spending some quality time with Mom… I try to meet mine for coffee at least once a week, and it’s always nice to catch up and chat like friends 😀
For sure, as I’ve gotten older it feels like we’re more like sisters. Nothing better than a coffee date. Thank you for stopping by, I love your blog!
verklempt…. great way to have started off my summer ‘vacation’ 😀
Haha love that word! Can’t thank you enough for all your help with getting turning my apartment into a home.
