Birthday Celebration Giveaway!

July 28, 2014 by Georgie @ The Long Run

Hi guys! This year I wanted to celebrate my blog’s birthday and my own birthday in one fun giveaway packed with healthy and delicious goodies!

tumblr_li43ffEh4N1qai55d

I love birthdays. I never plan them out too much I just like to make sure I have some lovely people around me. This year, I’m a bit further from my peeps than I’d like but I’m making up for it by spreading out my birthday and finding ways to spend time with friends and family throughout the next few weeks. Why should a birthday only be one day anyways?

But enough about me, I really want to celebrate and thank YOU (anyone reading this blog) for your support over this last year. I’ve really loved connecting with new and familiar readers and fellow bloggers on topics that we’re passionate about.

It makes my day, scratch that, my week, when someone tells me that they read my blog! Sometimes I just think that it’s me all alone, but when I get comments or people telling me in person that they’ve connected to something I’ve said, it warms my heart. I put a lot out there, but it’s important that you know the real goofy, flawed, happy, roller coaster, driven, mostly goofy me on my quest to building and living a joyful life – and sharing those experiences. So thank you thank you thank you.

I wish I could give everyone something, but alas what I can offer is a fun bag of my favorite goodies that hopefully you’ll enjoy too!

birthday giveawayHere’s what one lucky winner will get:

birthday giveaway

  • The best almond butter from Trader Joe’s (ha! typical)
  • Roasted Coconut chips (remember when I told you about these!)
  • Dried Mango (slightly addicting, sorry in advance)

birthday giveaway

  • 2 of my favorite kind bars (maple pecan and almond coconut)
  • Cashew larabar (amazing brand)
  • 1 cinnamon roll quest bar (packed with protein AND flavor)

birthday giveaway

  • 1 packet of my favorite brand of vegan protein powder (Vega Vanilla)

birthday giveaway

  • 1 bottle of Pomegranate Bai! (Sorry, totally bias but hey gotta represent)
  • 1 mason jar with a straw lid (< this is an incredible invention I’m obsessed)

These are all products I love and stand behind and I bought them myself as a gift because you’re readership means the absolute world to me, so THANK YOU! Please share and good luck!

Here’s how to win: choose any or all of the options on the Raflecopter widgit below to be entered to win.

Make sure to comment with your FAVORITE kind of “birthday cake.” I’d have to say one of the best “cakes” I’ve had was a key lime pie tied with an ice cream cake from the place I used to work.

Also, the best way to celebrate ANY birthday is with Michael Scott quotes. I always watch the birthday episode every year and my all time favorite is when Kevin answers the phone because he thinks he has cancer and Michael says “Kevin, please, respect the birthday.” It’s now a family favorite line for any and all birthdays.

My favorite cake isn’t a cake at all… it’s either a Key Lime Pie (typical that we’d have the same favorite) or cookie cake (because its a giant cookie and what can be bad about that)? HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL

Growing up, favorite birthday cake was the angel food cake with whipped cream (& sometimes with strawberries on top!) my mom made for my birthday (& lucky me, same one for my 3 siblings as well)
In my recent days, gotta shout out for a Tuxedo Cake (from a local shop), that has vanilla cake with chocolate mousse in between the layers, topped with whipped cream! Y-U-M
btw, FAB blog entry- so you <3
Enjoy the celebrations, there are many reasons to do so

I can’t believe your blog has only been around for a year! It feels way more grounded than being only a year old.

Favorite Bday cake has to be Hula Pie from Juice Bar, Tuxedo cake from Bartletts, cookie cake from Ithaca Bakery, or a tower made of Cadburys White Chocolate Fingers. 😉

Lots of birthday love love love !
