“There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” – Zora Neale Hurston
I think this quote says everything about 2014. It was certainly a year that asked me a lot of questions. Some scarier than others, for example “What are you going to do after you graduate?”
It was a year of goodbyes, hellos, dealing with fears, feeling on top the world as a senior and realizing that I’m definitely a freshman at life but learning to shake it off.
It was certainly a big year of transformation for this blog. I love connecting with all the new and old readers – thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the web.
I wanted to recap some of the best performing recipes and articles from the Long Run as a way to celebrate 2014.
Recipes
- Coconut Cookie Dough Bites
- Chocolate Chunk Pumpkin Muffins
- Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
- Dairy Free Pumpkin Pie
Life
Things got a little personal this year. Luckily everyone who reads this blog has blown me away with their kindness and support. I seriously couldn’t be more grateful to you. When I opened up for the first time about my eating disorder past, you had nothing but empathy and encouragement, which is why I felt comfortable talking about The Story Before and Afters Don’t Tell. I even divulged my dating fails when I Tried to Be Cool and How it Totally Backfired.
Thank you for reading, for listening, for responding, for adding to this conversation about defining our own health and finding joy in the progress over perfection – and of course thanks for supporting my adventures in simple vegetarian cooking (and baking).
