Hello there friends! It’s August-flipping-31st. Who’s ready for September?! *Eagerly raises hand* Without realizing it, this summer got a ‘lil crazy! Honestly though, after a rough start, the craziness was just what I needed in my life. Isn’t that funny how life does that sometimes?
I’ll admit, summer isn’t my favorite *gasp* but you knew that. I won’t say that I don’t like it, there are plenty of lovely things about summer, but it’s not my favorite.
That said, I actually really enjoyed these past few months so I wanted to take the chance to pause and reflect on the “best of summer” before charging into fall.

- What’s your current jam? (like music, not jelly, even though I love a good raspberry jam)
So awesome you got to see Andrew McMahon play! Used to love Jack’s Mannequin 🙂 And those recipes look delish… and those blog posts were LEGIT. <3
Just heard "downtown" on the drive home from Toronto last night and I was definitely dancing. I'm digging it.
Thanks Ashley! Isn’t Downtown so groovy? I’ve been waiting for his return for a while. Jack’s was one of my favorites and luckily Andrew played a lot of old songs, it was great
Woo! Such a great post – love looking back at all things happy! And I am hoping to get out to Nantucket for the half as well! If I do – let’s meet up!
Really?! That’s awesome – we definitely have to meet up. Meeting bloggers in person is so much fun 😀
I cannot wait to see you at the Nantucket Half Marathon…Even though you said your Summer started off a little rough, I would say your Summer looked pretty stellar and you did so much awesome stuff. Plus we finally got to meet in person. Cannot wait for our next coffee date! XOXO
Thanks Katie – can’t wait to see you again
Running the Nantucket Half will be so awesome, it’s my number one want-to-run race! Looks like a lovely summer overall 🙂
Thanks Alyssa – I’m so excited – I grew up on Nantucket so they’re very familiar roads 😀
Cheers to summer!
So today I went a little pinterest crazy with fall recipes, and I actually can’t wait to have pumpkin flavored everything back in my life. Also I’m loving the Macklemore song too, did you see him preform it at the VMA’s last night? It was kinda crazy but I loved it.
No, I missed it but I love the video. Nothing is better than fall Pinterest!
Great post Georgie! Perfect way to say goodbye to summer (although no one wants to say goodbye to summaaa 🙁 )
This fall i’m looking forward to starting on my ebook! And more exciting changes to the blog. Outside of website stuff going to Bali in November!! I’m already counting down the days
Bali? An E-book? That sounds like it’s going to be an amazing Fall – is it going to be workout related? I’d love to have your workouts in one place!
I love that your co-workers made a pinata filled with healthy snacks for your birthday! To some people, that sentence probably sounds really sad haha, but I would’ve LOVED it, too!
Haha they know me too well (and there was a ben & jerry’s ice cream cake so it was a good day)
