This Peach Cherry Smoothie Bowl is so summery it’ll have your tastebuds rocking shades and a mean bikini.
If you follow me on social media you might have seen me talk about how I was recently interviewed on Jenn and Hayley’s amazing podcast, Happiness Hour.
Interview might not be the right word because it felt much more like a long, deep, soul filling, conversation shared amongst old friends. The crazy part is, I’ve never met Jenn or Hayley in person, but I felt like I’d known them for years. They’re two kindred souls who have created a pretty spectacular podcast on conversations around happiness.
I’ve been a fan of both Jenn and Hayley for a while. I’m not quite sure how I stumbled across Jenn’s design work, but it’s totally stunning. From there, I remember seeing Jenn post about redesigning Hayley’s site. I then dove into that amazing rabbit hole. As a podcast junkie, when I saw that Jenn and Hayley had teamed up to create a podcast about happiness and raw, real conversations I was instantly a groupie.
The first episode I listened to was all about relationships. I immediately emailed Jenn after, to let her know how much her stories resonated with me. I won’t go into much detail, but their advice helped me close a door that didn’t serve me and open a new one that’s pretty spectacular. Subsequent episodes have had me throwing up metaphorical emoji preach hands, gasping out loud and running to my journal to take notes.
I was already a fan girl of Happiness Hour Podcast, so…
…when Jenn asked me if I’d be interested in being a guest I almost pooped myself with excitement. Normally I think I would have been nervous to be on an hour long podcast delving into sedative topics like recovering from anorexia and disordered eating, but I felt so safe in their hands.
This year especially has been truly transformational. I made some big changes earlier this year that have lead to incredible personal growth. While I considered myself recovered for the most part after college, this year I feel more free from old thoughts and behaviors than ever. It was exciting to talk about the joys of finding your identity after recovery. How relationships have blossomed, and my creativity has developed since becoming more of myself.
Jenn and Hayley had such amazing insights and stories to share. I think this conversation could be beneficial to anyone who’s struggled with disordered eating, depression, anxiety or even anyone who’s curious about what it’s like to go through any of those things.
Thank You
To everyone who’s already listened and reached out with your kind words I couldn’t be more grateful. This communities openness, support and desire to become the best versions of ourselves together is humbling.

Literally just listened to that podcast episode yesterday and it was SO inspiring, Georgie!! 🙂 Thank you for being such a ray of light in my life, especially regarding recovery. I am so so glad I reached out to you a couple years ago regarding my journey, and I still have your email saved! Btw, luurrrrvvvve this recipe. Omg the combo of peaches and cherries is amazing!

That podcast was SO sweet! I loved listening to you girls discuss, share struggles, and in the end when you were talking about the mirror and such, I was like, ‘YES!!!’ I agreed so much with the whole journey, and it was so similar to mine. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your story Georgie. It was a blessing.
I can’t wait to the day we can finally meet Emily! I feel like we could have conversations for hours xoxo
Me neither! I hope it will happen someday soon!
Absolutely loved your conversation on the podcast! I have never dealt with an eating disorder but it was truly eye opening to hear your story and it gave me a greater understanding of what it is like to go through an eating disorder. I love how open you have become about sharing your story because I know you are inspiring SO many people to take the road to recovery <3
Thank you so much Brie, that’s so great to hear that you found it interesting even though you haven’t personally been through that situation. Your kind words always means so much to me.
Recovery has been the most important thing in my life to date. It’s helped me realize so many things and develop who I want myself to be going forward. So glad that you’re doing so well!!
That’s incredible to hear Erin – I’m so happy for you
One of the things I love most about blogging is the sense of community and way you feel like you “know” others even when you haven’t met in person. I owe a lot of that to you and Christina, so thank you!
Alyssa that means so much to me. I have no doubt we’ll get to meet in the future
The podcast was simply amazing, and we all thank you for opening up and being so vulnerable as that is incredibly tough to do! Your story is inspiring, and the way you were able to rediscover yourself through blogging and the bgb community is simply amazing. We love you Georige!
Alyssa you are so kind – thank you so much
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the podcast yet but am downloading it as I type this for my commute home from work! Can’t wait! As usual this smoothie bowl looks delicious 🙂
Thanks so much love!
This looks amazing! And I bookmarked that podcast to listen to this weekend. 😀
I spent my weekend road tripping with my family back from Canada! You don’t really know people until you get to spend 17 hours in a minivan with them (and a dog, too!)! 😛
This looks so delicious! I have been obsessed with all of the yummy fresh summer fruit this year. I haven’t dug into peaches yet but I need to now!
